Bo's Family

      by Samantha, Age 10, Ohio

Bo, I am
Sweet, but, trouble,
Touch my girls
You'll be in trouble.
See, other dogs are
Scared of me because,
I got Mr. President
As my person.
I hope I can
Vote in four years!
Hey, four more years here.
Hey, I'm down!
I'm Bo, and my family
Loves me!
They have big hearts!
They love me,
and they're
My family.

My Name is Bo
     by Colleen, Age 10, Ohio

My name is Bo.
I'm quite new here.
Watching the big man do his presidential career.

Trotting down the hallway.
Running out the door.
I think I see some fun in store.

Walking to the garden,
Getting in the dirt,
Sloshing mud all over Sasha's skirt.

Skipping around the house,
Barking really loud,
There is the President, "Bo, sit down!"

Bo, the First Dog
     by Jamie, Age 11, Ohio

I am Bo,
The first dog of America.
I am the President's
Favorite dog.
I like to hear
The President say,
"Good, Bo."

I like to run
With the President
Up and down the hall.
I like to snuggle
In bed
With the President.

I like to sit
Under the desk
In the Oval Office.
I like to live
On Pennsylvania Avenue
In the White House.

I Am
     by Amy, Age 10, Ohio

I am fuzzy and black.
I love my family.
My name is Bo.
I like my name.
It is cool.
I live on
Pennsylvania Avenue.
I like to chew on stuff.
I live in the White House.
The girls play with me every day.
They feed me treats every night.
My dog food is kibble.
Kibble tastes fine.
I love my family
Very much.

Big Time Bo
     by Shelby, Age 10, Ohio

Snap, snap, snap.

The people just love me
'Cause I'm the new doggie.
My hair is curly
And my bark is
Big and bold.
I run so fast
That I could beat
A race car.
But the best thing about me is
That two girls surely love me.

Bo
     by Cameron, Age 10, Ohio

Hi, I am Bo
and I am the new
Presidential pup!
And I'd say
That I am
Going to stay.

Bo! Bo! That's Me!
     by Jennifer, Age 10, Ohio

Bo! Bo! That's me.

Hear me scratch on
Someone's patch.

Bo! Bo! That's me.

I'm black and white.
I don't like to fight.

Bo! Bo! That's me.

I run and bark
All night in the dark.

Bo! Bo! That's me!

A mask poem about BO

Ok I’m, ready for an adventure in the white house.
Sniffing for a food to eat.
I’m in the mood for some meet.
I am done eating and now I will play my master.
A game of catch with a tennis ball.
Ok I am done with my game.
Ding yaw time to eat.
Yum, that was good food.
I can’t choose were to go next.
There are over 90 rooms I gees I will go to sleep.

THE END

by Warren, 9, Wisconsin

I’m scared

I’m Bo
And I’m scared too
The white house is to big for me and
you

The chef is good and the girls too
I get a biscuit every noon

I think Obama rules
But I don’t want to be on the news

Dogs
     by Rachel

Why am I so small
Why can’t I be green?
[Green is my favorite color.]
Why do they say I’m so cute?
Why can’t I just walk with 2 legs?
I guess dogs are not like people after all
[But you never know if a person can act like a dog

Chewing In The White House

Look at that thing to chew.
I think they call it a tie.
I go and take a look.
I chew it up.
Where’s dessert?
I go to what’s called a closet.
I open the door.
I take out a suit and chew it up.
I go to the fridge.
I pull out a cake.
I gobble it up.
I go to the Oval Office
And sit in a chair.
This looks tasty.
I chew it up.
Now, I’m full.
I go to the President’s room
And take a nap.

Come Back Here Bo!

Hi, I’m Bo.
Wondering the White House with places to go.
I have to visit an agent to give me a bone.
I go to Sasha she’s really alone.
They put me in this colorful suit.
It is really comfy.
BARK, BARK
Sasha yells at me “Come back with my doll.”

Notice how President Obama mentions that Portuguese Water Dogs like tomatoes?
Our new rescue dog, Riley, loves tomatoes ... and cantaloupe. If we don't keep an eye on him, he sneaks out to our vegetable garden and "harvests" snacks for himself!
