Ideas! Kristine O'Connell George's
Tips for Young Poets

So, what's so special about a new idea?

Newly hatched ideas are very delicate.

New ideas need time to grow!

Give your ideas lots of time!

I'm blooming!

TRY THIS:

Keep writing - every day!  But, don't go back and read your work for one week. Or, a month.

You'll be surprised!

Sometimes an idea you thought wasn't very good when you first wrote it down turns out to be a VERY GOOD idea!

Writers often put their work away for awhile.  Then, when they go back and read what they have written ...
they get NEW ideas! MORE ideas! BETTER ideas!

I have a good idea and I wrote a poem.
Should I rewrite my poem?
