Ideas! Kristine O'Connell George's
Tips for Young Poets

What happens when writers don't catch those sneaky ideas?

Well, sometimes a good idea will

   f l o a t  away!  Adios! Goodbye!

TRY THIS:
The red notebook.
Keep a pencil and small notebook with you.  In your backpack. In your pocket.

Next time an idea pops into your head, grab your notebook and write down your idea. Quickly!

Don't worry if your notebook is messy. (My notebook is very messy. Don't tell my mom!)

     Catch your ideas!
Don't let them get away!

What kinds of ideas should I put in my writing notebook?
