OK! Now,
let's put the pieces
of the puzzle together: |

Ten Tips for Poets & Writers
1. Look for
ideas everywhere. |
2. Read ... a lot. Some of the best ideas
come from reading. |
3. Be alert. You never know when you'll find a
good idea. |
4. Carry a notebook and a pencil
so you can catch all your ideas and write them down quickly.

5. Capture those sneaky ideas in your
writing notebook before they float away. |
6. Give your new ideas time to
grow. Give yourself enough time for your writing. |
7. Put your writing away for awhile and
come back to it later. You'll see your poem differently and will probably have new ideas to add. |
8. Read your poem out loud and listen
carefully to your words. |
9. Rewrite your poem until you are happy with
it. |
10. Practice writing like you would
practice a sport or the piano. The more you write, the better you'll get.
Keep
writing. No matter what! |
Thanks for
visiting and . . .
Happy writing!
