Introducing Amber

We finally did it! After an intense canine acquisition campaign conducted by my daughter, Courtney, we finally got another dog. A big dog!

We first met Amber on the Internet on the rescue page for The Golden Retriever Club of Los Angeles. Volunteers had rescued Amber from the shelter and were looking for a home for her.

To make a long story short, we visited Amber twice at her foster home; we took her home after the second visit. There was something special about her soft brown eyes ... She's adjusted beautifully and it's like she's been part of our family for years.

Many thanks to Maggie, Greta, Enid, and the others rescue volunteers who work so hard to  help these dogs find new "forever homes"!
