Ideas! Kristine O'Connell George's
Tips for Young Poets

Well, where do writers find ideas?

Any ideas up there?

Writers find ideas EVERYWHERE!

Ideas come from the things writers do, experience, see, smell, hear, taste, and touch.

Writers get ideas from dancing, running, exploring, or daydreaming.Receiving ideas . . .

Writers also get many ideas from reading. Every writer I've met (so far) reads a lot!Good book!

TRY THIS:

Start a list of WHEN, WHERE, and HOW you find your best ideas for writing.  (I get some of my ideas early in the morning and on long car trips.)
We're off to see the wizard . . .

What do writers do when they get an idea?
